Appearance: Kenichi is both slightly taller and slightly heavier then the average person at his visible age. But other wise he is the most nondescript shinigami one will ever encounter most would could see him every day for a year and not be able to pick him out of a line up. He has black hair of average length and brown eyes. He has a perfectly average build for a shinigami.
His posture is rather subdued and as non aggressive as possible as not to draw unwanted attention. He keeps his shoulders slumped and his head down and does not look the part of a high ranking member of soul society. But this is all an act to keep anonymous from all but his captain and fellow Lieutenants.
Clothing:Kenichi wears the standard Shinigami robes and the 2rd Division's lieutenant armband on his left arm. But this arm band is only worn when absolutely necessarily as it would be an identifying mark and that goes against Kenichi's philosophy.
Personality:Kenichi is highly secretive not trusting anyone with even the knowledge of his identity unless required. This means he has no friends or close associates, only his captain and his fellow lieutenant know what he looks like for sure and no one is aware of the powers of his Zanpakutō. He acts extremely conserved and contemplative as if to seem like he would never make a move that was not previously calculated, this only works to strengthen his persona as the most dangerous man in Squad 2. However his actual personality is more jovial he misses being able to be with people and is resentful of his powers being such that he had to have the persona he did. Also although no one knows it Kenichi commonly uses his powers to play practical jokes on other shinigami as to relive the tention he builds up behind his dark facade.

~Character History~Before Death Arc:Kenichi was for ma small town in Japan. The most distinguishing feture of his life was that their wasn't one he was almost to normal. This stemmed form the fact that Kenichi perceived the universe differently then everyone else. Illusions and falsities did not effect him and he could always see right through a persons lie or facade even if they them self did not know it existed. With this ability Kenichi was able to see through situations to know just how to act to quell any situation that could come up. Thus no one knew anything was different about him.
This situation lasted until one day during a massive earthquake and Kenichi was pinned beneath a large supporting beam as his building collapsed. The rest of his family made it out but he had been on the roof and could not make it all the way down in time. The rescue crew did not reach him in time and Kenichi died of asphyxiation.
After Death Arc0
Kenichi's Plus was discovered relatively quickly as a massive number of Shinigami had been dispatched because of the death toll. Upon arrival to to soul society Kenichi grew bored as his Reiatsu was not at the level usually expected of a shinigami candidate. However upon a hundred years or so of living in the wards Kenichi decided to leave to as a shinigami escorted a new soul into Soul society. Kenichi escape through a Senkaimon into Dangai which should have been impossible for him to traverse but his unique ability to see through illusion allowed him to find the most direct path out possible. A task no other creature had ever done. After the response team of Shinigami sent after him found his location in the human world after a year. they were amazed that he had been able to make it through Dangai and recommended him to go to the academy as he obviously had some unique skill.
Shinigami ArcKenichi's time in the academy was rather unremarkable he was rather apt at illusion Kidō but made sure not to make it seem like he was abnormally good at it. Although he was significantly below average in swordplay so Kenichi quickly learned to not let his opponent know that he is even their when he attack as to not risk being out classed my a better swordsmen. One strange thing that resulted form this training at the academy was that when he was taught how to materialize his Zanpaktō it was extremely oddly shaped with a crescent like curve to the blade that seemed to be designed to cut into flesh by just running over it.
Furthermore upon achieving shikai for the first time Kenichi felt some sort of odd presence i his mind as if he was experiencing the thoughts and feeling of another being.
This led him to pursue a way to contact the spirit of the Zanpaktō far earlier then he was supposed to. Upon finally achieving access to the internal world the Spirit with in know as Dōkeshi's personalty overwhelmed Kenichi and left his mind trapped with in the world of the Zanpaktō for what seemed like a year. During this time Kenichi studied under Dōkeshi as if he were his master. He learned much about the art of illusion making and evasive techniques picked up a combat style that was extremely acrobatic and slowly began to grow in power until he was able to take the test required my Dōkeshi so that he would allow him to subjugate him to use Bankai. This test entailed evading Dōkeshi for three days nonstop at some point during which Kenichi had to caught hold of him and force him to admit defeat. This took the entire time and stretched Kenichi to the edge of his resources and ingenuity. However upon compleation Kenichi overcame the influence of Dōkeshi's personality and subjugating him to gain access to his Bankai. Furthermore Kenichi found out that only an hour that passed while he was in the inner world. The amazing achievement of reaching Bankai only three days (as the rest of the universe experienced it) after gaining Shikai garnered him the position of Lieutenant of squad 2 as they did not believe he was ready for a captains position.
RP SampleKenichi was no his obligatory monthly hallow hunt for Dōkeshi. This arraignment had been annoying at first but he was slowly beginning to see what Dōkeshi found so enjoyable about it. To have another creatures life in your hand and to see the look in their eye as they lose the last of their faith that they will be able to escape you made him feel extremely powerful. However it also made him sick to his stomach that he was enjoying himself. This was homicidal behavior and it always made him more creeped out by his Zanpaktō spirit in that he was part of Kenichi so Kenichi somewhere deep in side as loved this as much as him. Then Kenichi found his target this hallow resembled a Satyr about twice the size of an average human with a horned mask.
Kenichi Lifted Dōkeshi to this mouth and whispered
"Hide Dōkeshi" The sword then changed into it's Shikai form and Kenichi could feel Dōkeshi's influence over him increase. He could almost sense what he was feeling and it was pure joy their was nothing he enjoyed more then his monthly hunt. Just as the transformation finished Mind's Eye took effect. The hallow turned around immediately at the sudden appearance and then disappearance of such a massive Reiatsu as that of a lieutenant. The hallow stared right at the point where Kenichi was standing however dues to the glamour the hallow was unable to remember that he had sensed Kenichi and instead yelled
"Who is ever their your soul will be mighty tasty when i get my hands on you" Due to the fact that he still retained the ability to speak this hallow was either extremely powerful or extremely young and Kenichi was betting on the second. Kenichi used his Reiryoku Ventriloquism to create an energy signature to get the hallow to where he need him to be standing. The hallow immediately turned to where the fake signature was and sprinted toward it screaming
"There you are now don't move and ill make it quick." Kenichi used his Shunpo to move into range of where the hallow was about to be. The hallow was slower then he had expected him to be and that was going ot make this too easy. The hallow grabbed for where Satori was supposed to be based on the energy but the signal instantly disappeared. The hallow exclaimed
"what the ..." Kenichi swung this arm and cut the hallow deep on this leg. The hallow screamed in pain then tried to retaliate but punching where Kenichi had stood but Kenichi has back flipped out of the way a full two second before the hallow even registered the pain. Kenichi then disengaged Mind's Eye so that the hallow could offer some sort of challenge. The hallow instantly began to heal as expected then charged at Kenichi who turned on the ball of his foot as to avoid the charge and slice the hallow on the arm. The hallow attempted to swing his arm around to clothes line Kenichi but he insead ducked and grab it arm and used it like are bar flipping over it to land on top of the hallows head. He had played enouhg now was time to end it. Kenichi says as he brings his arm down in a chopping motion
"It's been fun but i think i won" The blade makes contact with the mask splitting it and the the hallows head in half. The soul is then release and Kenichi performs the soul burial to end the fight. He looks down at Dōkeshi
"I hope that sated your thirst for this month" and in the back of his mind Kenichi Know that Dōkeshi is euphoric.
